EPW - Tempora, by LePhare, Swiss minute repeating chronograph, 59mm, 14K rose gold original HC, signed gold cuvette with attributes and medal display, glazed observation cover beneath cuvette, SW-LS, WE-SSD, lever escapement, 17J (misrepresented as 28J on cuvette, a common event), gilt mvt, s#216144, Swiss patent +13244 on front plate awarded to C Barbezat-Baillot for his push repeat system. Tempora was a registered mark for LePhare in La Chaux-de-Fonds as well as for Barbezat-Baillot in Le Locle. The watch comes with plated chain. Gross weight of assembled watch without chain 83.8 dwt (130.3 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, fine mvt condition overall, light tarnish; good repeat function and tone, hour hammer a touch close; good chronograph functions, sweep needs to be moved less than half a second; dial perfect; hands excellent; front cover hinge is very tight, requiring one to lift it despite good lift-spring; case shows little wear, many MFS, many light dents or dings, mostly to back; original plated bow tight, brassy, crown shows little wear; good glass crystals, excess glue on front crystal.
